You may or may not know that I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer exactly one year ago. Because of the love, the faith and the prayers of so many people… many of whom I’ve never met… I was able to beat the cancer and get a new extension on my life… a second chance, if you will.
It’s now time for me to show my appreciation and give back to make a difference and help others avoid the pain, frustration, and financial devastation that this insidious disease can cause. The National Cancer Institute reports that up to $5.2 billion is spent annually on cancer research. But very little is spent on cancer awareness, detection, and prevention.
The bill for my chemo treatments during the past four months amounted to $205,754, and that’s not counting the six surgeries, surgeon’s bills, and the three weeks I spent in the hospital. Fortunately I had Medicare that covered part of the expenses. But what about those who get this disease and don’t have insurance? How do they get treatment? What do they do?
The Tip of the Iceberg
The medical, doctor’s, and hospital bills are only the beginning. If you are unfortunate to contract a disease like cancer, there are a lot of other, often un-thought of considerations. In my case, I was laid up and unable to work (other than taking care of my onboard consultants by phone and email) for an entire year. But what if your job depended on you being present? What would you do?
Suppose you work for someone else and your employer hired another person to do your job while you were laid up. Then when you were finally able to return to work you found that your job was gone. What then? What if you owned your own business and had to shut it down during your several months (or longer) of illness? How would you pay your bills? How would you provide for your family?
The Most Important Consideration
Financial concerns are one thing. They’re very important and they need to be addressed… before they arise!
But there’s something else that needs to be addressed… the on-going care and the emotional needs of your family. If you’re taken out of the picture, how will your spouse get by? How will your children cope? Will they have the income to allow them time to grieve, mourn, and take care of business? Or will your spouse be thrust with no or very limited marketable skills into the job-search market that is very competitive, very selective, and very limited? It’s something to be very concerned about.
But what if you had a business that could allow you to amass enough money in a very short amount of time that could tide you through these tough times (should they unfortunately occur), and provide your family enough funds to allow them to carry on the lifestyle they’ve become accustomed to should you be removed from the picture?

As I mentioned, I’ve been very fortunate… I dodged a bullet. My cancer is gone and I’ve been given a second chance. Now it’s my turn to help others avoid the financial and emotional costs and burdens that my family has gone through. Here’s what I’m doing…
I told you that cancer research has a tremendous amount of funding. But cancer awarness, detection, and prevention have very little. The reality is, that if I had been AWARE of a simple test, I could have DETECTED the pre-cancerous polyps in my colon, and I could have PREVENTED this entire problem.
So I’ve teamed up with Lance Armstrong’s Livestrong Foundation and will be donating every dollar we take in to a separate division of Livestrong that will be dedicated to awarness, detection, and prevention. In addition, I have some corporate sponsors that will be dedicating some funds to offset the costs for qualified people who come through our consultant’s training.
Your Success is Critical…
The success of the attendees is very important to me. The future participation of our corporate sponsors depends on it. I will be donating my personal time in training and supporting those who attend. No profit for me or my organization. No staff participation in the training or follow-up. No guest speakers. No pitch-fest. No up-sells. No “dog and pony shows”. No selling from the stage, then run to the back of the room and buy something games. No monthly fees. Just me giving the best I have of over 45 years in this business and training well over 2,500 people to do what I do… help business owners add more profits to their businesses, and in the process, make the consultants a very handsome profit.
To ensure that we have the right people in attendance, I will be conducting personal telephone ”Discovery Sessions” with all interested parties. I’m sure you can appreciate that it’s only fair for everyone involved to have motivated, self-starting, “let’s make it happen” people in attendance.
